The Immediate Past lawmaker that represented Umuahia South State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Barr. Jerry Uzosike has described his decision in joining the rulling party (Labour Party) under the Leadership of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti to align himself with good Governance Abians are witnessing as intentional.
Hon. Uzosike stated this while answering questions from Journalists shortly after his resignation from PDP noted that his defection to Labour Party was intentional especially in a bid to support the New Abia mantra of Governor Alex Otti.
He described Dr. Alex Otti as an intelligent man and a kind of brand Governor, Abians have been yarning for years adding that he is happy to associate himself with Dr. Otti who is Incharge of affairs of the State and has also shown commitment to New Abia through his massive Infrastructural strides and prompt payment of salaries, Arrears of Civil Servants in the state.
Hon. Uzosike who have served PDP for more than 25 years said that Dr Alex Otti is doing extremely well and enjoined all to sustain their prayers and unwavering support to his administration for a better Abia.
Speaking during the virtual interview, the State Chairman of tye All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Chief Emmanuel Egwu (Esere) saluted Hon. Barr Jerry Uzosike on the bold step he took in joining Labour Party, commended him for his firm decision to identify with good governance Abia State has never witnessed for the past 24 years.
On the political differences between him and Hon. Uzosike, Chief Egwu made it clear that that both of them share things in common as brothers and friends adding that what the state needs now is good governance as already examplefiad by Dr Alex Chioma Otti.
