The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abia State Command, Commandant Usman Ishaq Alfadarai fdc, MFR, yesterday welcomed the District Business Manager of Enugu Electrical Distribution Company (EEDC) Engr Iwuala Festus Chibueze and his team at the Command’s Headquarters in Umuahia
According to a release made avaliable to Journalists by the Command’s Public Relations Officer ASC II Doreen Udugwu revealed that the Business Manager of EEDC Engr. Iwuala during the meeting discussed the vandalism that has frequently occurred in various electricity distribution stations across the state.
The visit which focused on familiarization and exploring ways to collaborate to end the vandalism of electrical distribution of infrastructure in Abia state also expressed her belief that NSCDC has the capability not only provide solutions to this problem but also apprehend the perpetrators of these criminal acts.
While responding, the Commandant expressed his appreciation for the visit and recapitulated NSCDC’s commitment to protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure.
He frowned at the vandalism of electrical distribution’s infrastructures and said it is a big menace to the society.
He however, assured EEDC that NSCDC will do their best to protect these infrastructures in the state.The visits attracts very senior officers of the Corps that accompanied the state Commandant.
