Missing 4 Children In Abia: Abia Assembly Calls for Intensified Actions By Security Agencies

The Abia State House of Assembly has called for government Intervention and Intensified Actions By the security agencies toward safeguarding and rescuing the mission 4 children of same parents.

This came after a matter of urgent public importance which was presented by member representing Ukwa West State Constituency Hon. Goddy Adiele on the case of the Missing 4 Children in Abia State.

Adiele who expressed shock and disheartening over the incident prayed, That the House should arrange little finances to aid them to push for the searching of their children taking cognisance of the economic situation in the country.

Again, he called that the state government which is the children’s responsible to step up by calling all the security Chiefs along with the local vigilante groups to be signaled to find out where this children is being kept.

Finally, that the Almighty should because of the innocent children intervene and provide whoever that is capable of finding out the whereabout of these children.

In their different contributions, member representing Umuahia Central State Constituency Hon.Chinasa Anthony Abiola supported the three prayers of the member representing Ukwa West member, Hon. Adiele wholeheartedly, But however, frowned at the carelessness of the mother who left the children alone and considered it ridiculous noting that this matter could be avoided knowing the security challenges that is bewildering the entire county which Abia state is not in exemption.

He therefore rendered his support on the three prayers being an Evangelist of the most high God.

In another contribution by the Member representing Umunneochi State Constituency Hon. Ume Martias who seek that the security officers should be made to step up with their duties adding that the House should visit the family that their kids are missing, believing in the last prayer that God is with the children and will keep them pending when they will be released.

The Deputy Speaker, Rt.Hon Austin Meregini in his own voice stressed that more hands should be put on desk appealing that appropriate measures be put to ensure that this children come back alive and healthy.

According to Hon. Boniface Isienyi of Ikwuano State Constituency who described the incident as devastating, called on the security agencies to expedite action on the release of the children, stating that the police and other security agencies should be called to wake up to their duties.

The Speaker therefore resolved that the tricycle in Umuigu be investigated while assuring the house on the Immediate visit to the family as well as doing the needful on the financial aids for the family.

Furthermore, the house continued the consideration of HAB 5 – A Bill for a Law to Establish the Greater Aba Development Authority (GADA) as sponsored by the Majority Leader, Hon. Okoro Uchenna Kalu of Arochukwu State Constituency at the committee of the whole. and later adjourned to reconvene tomorrow Wednesday 6th December, 2023.
