He further explained that there was no tussle in the 8th Assembly rather a little misunderstanding that bordered on power sharing within the political parties represented in the house stressing that the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended has been helpful in that regards.

On the aspect of carrying out oversight function, Rt Hon. Meregini said that the 24 members house has been dutiful and would not entertain anything less than the law to fast track the “help is here” agenda of Governor Alex Otti.

He also gave an assurance that a committee has been constituted to look into the soon to be inaugurated Abia State House of Assembly Service Commission next year as promised by the Governor Dr. Alex Otti.

The Deputy speaker Meregini thanked Abians and wished them a successful Christmas celebration and beautiful year to come.
