The Member representing Umunneochi State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly Hon. Ume Mathias (Nwachi) has described his electoral victory as a Divine Orchestration.
Hon. Ume who is popularly known as Nwachi disclosed this on Sunday 15th October during an interactive session with Journalists in Umuahia.
According to the Lawmaker, among the 12 candidates for the position, he was the only one who did not go with a convoy nor formed any organised campaign political structure during the electioneering period due to funds inadequacy.
He further explained how he was humiliated in one of the social media platforms when someone posted his campaign material stressing that it was immediately deleted and the person removed because he could not contribute a security levy.
Nwachi , stressed that if he had the financial strength then he would have contributed the highest considering what his constituency was passing through in the hands of hoodlums at that time.
While appreciating his constituents for the confidence reposed on him which led to the electoral victory, Nwachi further reinstated his resolve to ensure qualitative representation adding that he would make a positive impression at the eight session of the Assembly.
He finally pointed out that the governor Dr. Alex Otti has assured that the House of Assembly Autonomy passed into law by the 7th Assembly and assented to by the Immediate past administration will be fully implemented.
He , however, thanked Dr. Otti for his quick intervention in Umunneochi State Constituency which has ended security challenges in the area.
