The immediate past member that represented the people of Umuahia South State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly Hon. Jerry Uzosike yesterday through his foundation OGECHI CARES has commenced the construction of the 20 housing projects which he promised his people while in office.
As part of his developmental strides to provide shelter to the indigent widows in Umuahia South metropolis, Hon. Jerry has build and completed 7 solid bungalows and has handed it to the owners before he lost out in the last poll. Speaking while inspecting the ongoing 3 bedroom bungalow for Mrs Nwosuocha of Eluama na Mgbedaala autonomous community in Umuahia South disclosed that he promised umuahia south people among other things 20 Houses for indigent families adding that he has delivered 7 while in the office as the member representing Umuahia South State Constituency.
Hon Jerry Uzosike said that now he is no longer in the office himself and foundation have decided to continue with the dream of giving shelters to our people.Uzosike also affirmed he saw the need to put smiles on the faces of the people that mostly need shelter in Umuahia South metropolis while assuring that with God on his side the projects will be completed, delivered in no distance time.
He appreciated the OGECHI CARES for their decision to return back to site to ensure the completion of the house numbering 8.While inspecting the level of work done so far in the house 8 alongside the beneficiaries of building Mrs Nwosuocha, Hon. Jerry Uzosike also reeled out the interest of the foundation which including provision of Houses for those that needs them, skill acquisitions, scholarships, youth empowerments and lots more.
In her words of appreciation, The beneficiary of the House Mrs Nwosuocha said that she is full of happiness while thanking God who through him has provided Hon. Uzosike and the OGECHI CARES the enablement and resources to start again the building towards its finishing therefore prayed that God will see them through and keep him safe and far from any evil agenda.
The women in the area also poured their blessings on Jerry and his OGECHI CARES teams asking that God strengthen them to finish all the Houses he promised adding that God will continue to guide him and protect him.
