The All Progressive Congress Family Forum has agitated for the intervention of the Appeal Court President over the unfortunate delay of releasing the election tribunal ruling in Federal and State Cases in Umuahia.
The agitation came to the front burner when the APC Family Forum embarked on a peaceful protest around the Golden Olive Hotel where the election petition tribunal Judges were alleged to be sequestered.
The peaceful protesters urged the president of the Appeal Court to cause the Tribunal judges to release the certified true copies of the their judgement to facilitate application for Appeal for ” those who are not satisfied with the outcome of the tribunal encounter.
Mr. Obasi Chimaobi, the leader of the APC Forum Observed that the Electoral law stipulates a window of 21 days within which to file an appeal and already 11 days have gone, adding that the judges were frustrating the judicial process.
Meanwhile, DSS operatives assigned to the tribunal Judges for security appealed to the protesters to remain calm and assured that their grievances will be taken to the Judges.
