The Senator Representing Abia North Senatorial Zone,Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has called on Nigerian Politicians to consider the welfare of the people who elected them into Office instead of indulging in partisan politics.
Senator Kalu who made the call during his condolence visit to the Apugo family who recently buried their mother,Deaconess Dorathy Nkechinyere Apugo, while describing death as an unavoidable procees in life.
The former governor of the state stated that their mother Dorathy Apugo has fulfilled her stage in life ,adding that it is their responsibility and privilege to bury their mother and not the other way round.
OUK during the visit, frowned at the unhealthy politicking in the country, stressed the need for politicians to see their privileges in politics as an avenue to reach out and support those who elected them into power,through developmental policies.
The chief whip of the Senate ,further noted that the raw materials of politics is human being ,saying that politicians are instruments to actualizing the potentials with good governance.
Responding, Member Representing Umuahia East State Constituency, Hon Chukwudi Apugo thanked the Senator for identifying with the Apugo family in spite their political differences.
He described him as a true leader whom every other politician should emulate.
