As Muslim Faithful all over the world celebrate Eid-el-Fitri, the President Vision Africa International and Co-Chair Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, Bishop, Dr. Sunday Onuoha has urged Muslim community to use the period to render fervent prayers for God to take away the novel Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world.

The Methodist Bishop who stated this in his congratulatory message to Muslim faithful, prayed God for his steadfastness which saw them complete their 30 days fast amid myriad challenges confronting the world and country, urging them to leverage on the blessings gained and pray for the healing of the world and Nigeria in the face of COVID-19 scourge.

The Executive Director Nigeria Interfaith Action Association (NIFAA), charged them to use the period and sue for peace in the country, shun disunity and extend the bond of brotherhood between them and people of other faith, adding that through this, religious tolerance will be at its peak in the country.

Bishop Onuoha, who harped on the need for peace to reign in the country and world at large, reiterated that it has become imperative that Muslim faithful and people of other faith live together without squabbles, maintaining that the Eid celebration should serve as a reconciliatory force for people of different religion and make them cohabit for purposes of achieving and attaining certain heights.
