A Governorship aspirant under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has pledged to unlock the huge potentials that distinguishes Abia from other States if elected Governor of the State, come 2023.

The Global Peace Award Winner, who made the pledge on Wednesday at Alayi Hall, while interacting with party Delegates from Alayi, Arochukwu, Isuikwuato Bende, Ohafia,Umunneochi ahead the primaries of the party, said Abians deserve to be carried along in the scheme of things, promising to deliver the Abia of their dream.

He said his 11 point agenda which include: security and social welfare, digital economy and information tech transformation, transparency and accountability, International Relations/Development agencies, Job Creation/ Youth and Women Empowerment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Participatory Governance, Education for all, Health for all,Trade and commerce, Faith community for development were carefully crafted to address the various lapses witnessed in the state.

The Methodist Bishop, said the time has come to open a new chapter in Abia State as he is poised to change the narratives of the State, stating that his wealth of experience in administration and entrepreneurial ability will be key in giving Abians the needed change they have yearned for, admitting that Abians have been relegated to the background for years.

Bishop Onuoha, who is also the Co-chair Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, charged the Delegates to vote according to their conscience and relegate to the background, money politics while also urging them to remember the future of their kids which hinges on the choice they make on Saturday, insisting that he has the answer to the problems of the State.

Responding on behalf of the Delegates from Arochukwu, Alayi, Ohafia, Umunneochi, Isiukwuato, Bende LGA and Wards, the Woman Leader, Mrs. Jane Ubani, promised to vote and deliver Bishop Sunday Onuoha who, according to her, possesses a divine and timely mandate, expressing optimism that the Methodist cleric will save Abia State from her current upheavals
