Our Movement Is That Of Progress And Restructure While Our Plan Is To Change The Narrative – Hon Ibe Nwoke As He Draws The Attention Of Abians On Threat To His Life

The Chairman if Obingwa Local Government Council and former Algon Chairman Hon Ibe Michael Nwoke has drawn the Attention of Ndi-Abia over the incessant attacks and threat to his life especially since he left the People’s Democratic Party PDP and joined the Young People’s Party YPP.

Nwoke stated this in a release made available to NuelsNews today which is read Thus?

” I want to begin this statement by appreciating the entire people of Obingwa, Osisioma and Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency for their unflinching support to me and winning the party in Abia, the Young Progressives Party (YPP). Our movement is that of progress and restructure, and the plan and interest; is to change the narrative.

“Having said that, I want to use this opportunity to clearly draw the attention of Ndi-Abia to the incessant threat to my life, especially since  I exited the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and joined Young Progressive Party (YPP). I cannot phantom the reason or reasons why the people who are carrying threat here and there to my life are after me. I do not know why they are perturbed by my political ambition to the point of threatening my life”.

“It is not the first or second time they have threatened to “Deal With Me”. But I know that their plans will not work. As a law abiding citizen, it is necessary that I inform the general public and security agencies through public notice of the threat to my life, in case of any eventuality.

“Specifically, Abia State government and the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State are threatening and troubling my life. I am not the only person who left the People’s Democratic Party and I do not know why my leaving the party will become an offense to them. It’s baffling  however, that my exit from PDP has become an issue of concern to those who said they own the party and regularly threatening my life and person is the only thing that will give them peace.”

“As an ALGON and Obingwa Council Boss I served my people diligently and discharged my duties without fear or favour. I left PDP because my political future was being jeopardized and i couldn’t put up with that. You cannot lay a child, and expect the child not to turn when the child is tired of the position it was previously laid”.

“As I have said at different fora, I left the PDP to carve a future for my political life and that has not changed. So, I am particularly using this medium to urge those who feel offended because I exited PDP to take my exit in good faith. They should enjoy the party and all the goodies it offers and allow me to pursue my political career and future in peace. As a citizen of Abia and Nigeria, I have the innate and constitutional rights to pursue a political career in any political party of my choice. Therefore, it is not a must that I stay in PDP.”

“If anyone in PDP feel I have in my possession anything that belongs to him or her or the party, let the person come forth and say it. If such thing is truly with me, I will return it. I am saying this because the threat to my life has become so incessant that I am wondering if I am holding  to ransom the power they need to win the 2023 election.”

“At this juncture, I once again urge the PDP and Abia State government to respect my constitutional rights to pursue my political career in any political party of my choice. My life is sacrosanct, so strongly warn that you people should stop the threat. Allow me to focus on my life and pursuit.”

“I reiterate that my family, relations, Umu-Nna, Abians and security agencies to hold Abia State government and PDP responsible should anything happen to me”
