Onuoha Assures Abians on Transparency in Governance, Promises to Tackle Insecurity with Local Vigilante groups

The Abia African Democratic Congress Governorship Candidate for 2023 election Bishop Dr Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha has assured Abians that his focal point will be on tackling insecurity in the State.as well as running a transparent government when elected the governor of the state.

 

Bishop Onuoha stated this during a press conference with journalists at the Vision Africa Radio headquarters in Umuahia on 20th June 2022.

He frowned on the rate at which foreigners have occupied forests around Umunneochi/Isui

kwuato areas and some other parts of the state thereby making farmer feel insecure to go about their normal farming business adding that this is a major cause of food insecurity which is affecting the life’s of citizens in the state.

 

The president Vision African Radio lamented that there is nothing wrong if the cocoa plantation in Bende is developed as well as the cashews plantation in Isuikwuato as a tool for economic growth in Abia State.

The Methodist Bishop said that if elected Governor of Abia State, he would carry out his activities with the fear of God noting that there are businesses and opportunities that awaits to come into Aba, disclosing that what they are waiting for is a Government with transparency as watch word which he assured that his administration would play an open door policies just as he is known for.

 

Furthermore, Onuoha expressed worry that the Nsulu game Village which is meant to yield revenue to the state on the part of agriculture stressing that the sector is laying fallow without any on-going activities, noting that the game Village has the capacity to employ over 3000 workers .
