The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Abia State Commandant, Commandant Akinsola Aderemi, attended the second anniversary celebration of Governor Dr. Alex Otti’s administration on May 29, 2025. The event was held at the Umuahia Township Stadium and featured a ceremonial parade led by the Nigeria Police Force.
The celebration, themed “Two Years of Transformation: Sustaining the Momentum,” reflected on the governor’s accomplishments and the administration’s forward-looking agenda. Commandant Akinsola commended Governor Otti for his leadership and support for the state’s security architecture, highlighting the governor’s commitment to strengthening inter-agency cooperation and investing in logistics and infrastructure.
The Commandant expressed his admiration for the governor’s approach, stating, “We’ve seen firsthand how committed the Governor is to the safety and well-being of Abians. From strengthening inter-agency cooperation to investing in logistics and infrastructure, his approach has made a real difference.” He reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to partnering with the state government to maintain security and progress in Abia State.
