New Year Message: Don’t Use The Name of Buhari In Vain, Bishop Onuoha Advises

As 2021 begins today, the President, Vision Africa International and Co-Chair Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has called on cabinet members and aides to public office holders to stop using the names of their paymasters in vain.

In his New Year message, captioned “Don’t Use the name of President Buhari in Vain this New Year”, the Methodist Bishop, said most of the problems the country faces today is caused by overzealous aides, who, in a bid to represent their bosses, commit blunders hence creating enemies.

The Global Peace Award Winner 2013, who also warned sycophants to be careful of the problems they have created for their bosses and the people, noted that it is deceit for them to constantly tell their bosses that they are governing the country well whereas the people are suffering and gnashing their teeth due to bad policies and programmes of the paymasters.

Bishop Dr. Onuoha, advised politicans, with President Muhammadu Buhari at the helm, Governors and representatives of the people at National and State Assemblies, to do more of the talking by addressing people’s agitations and concerns instead of allowing their aides to do so.

While expressing hope that 2021 will be different from the challenges faced in 2020, Bishop Onuoha, revealed that this can only be accomplished if President Buhari, deals with the people directly than allowing his Ministers, SSAs to talk to the nation in matters that seriously need his personal direct attention, not by proxy.

He urged Nigerians to particularly pray that the challenges of 2020 would not surface in 2021, tasking them to also pray for their leaders as instructed by God in the scriptures.
