The member representing Bende North State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu, has challenged the ABSIEC chairman to redeem his image by calling for cancellation of the LGA Poll in Bende.
Hon. Chukwu who spoke at the Bende LGA Council headquarters, said ABSIEC’s Prof. Mkpa Agu Mkpa is like a conduit pipe, that cannot conduct credible, free and fair election, daring Mkpa to sue him in any court of competent jurisdiction if he feels maligned, revealing that right from the day he was announced ABSIEC Chairman, everyone knew that he can not deliver a free, fair and credible election in Abia due to helplessness.
The state lawmaker decried the absence of ABSIEC officials and adhoc workers in all Bende polling unit, calling for the cancellation of the election till a later date.
He lambasted PDP’s delay tactics, stressing that Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu is only interested in collecting 3 billion naira every month while Abia workers go hungry, revealing that Bende as a whole, is for the All Progressives Congress.
Hon. Chukwu charged party faithful not to leave the LG premises until the election is conducted, stressing that the era of re-writing election results in favour of the ruling PDP is over.
