The Southeast leadership of the Joint National Association Of Persons With Disability (JONAPWD) led by it’s leader Hon Wisdom Okechukwu Kalu paid a courtesy visit to Bishop Dr Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, President, Vision Africa International in his office in Umuahia today, May 16th, 2021.
The team visited Bishop Onuoha who was recently honored with the award as a grand Ambassador to the group in Umuahia.
The visit was part of the group’s advocacy campaign against the ongoing insecurity in the Southern parts of Nigeria in which they said that persons with disability suffer most during such times of crisis as they are abandoned even by their caregivers , and a part of the group’s efforts to get stakeholders commitment to end violence against persons with disability.
The team used the opportunity to discuss it’s forth coming convention tentatively slated for Anambra State, Nigeria before the end of this year 2021 while using the opportunity to solicit for Bishop Onuoha’s fatherly support for the success of the planned convention.
They used the opportunity to thank Bishop Onuoha for his numerous support to the association and person with disability in Abia State, the Southeast and Nigeria at large.
The Team was accompanied to the visit by the Southeast Commissioner at the National Disability Commission, Hon Jaja Okparaku.
