The Protect the Precious Foundation today Joins the global community in celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child 2025, With theme, “The girl I am, the change I lead,” highlighting the immense potential and leadership capabilities of girls worldwide.
This is a powerful reminder that girls are not just future leaders, but active change makers in their communities today.

According to the founder Norah Nneoma Okafor who noted that “Despite progress, many girls still face significant obstacles, including limited access to education, child marriage, and inadequate healthcare, stressed that these challenges hinder their ability to reach their full potential and contribute to their communities.
She emphasised that Protect the Precious Foundation (PTPF), recognizes the importance of addressing these issues to create a more equitable world.
PTPF’s work has shown that mentorship, safe spaces, and empowerment programs can be transformative for girls. By providing these opportunities, we can help girls build confidence, develop leadership skills, and become active participants in shaping their futures. Every girl deserves the chance to learn, dream, and lead.
The International Day of the Girl Child is more than a celebration; it’s a call to action hence the need to work together thereby creating a world where girls can thrive without limits adding that amplifying their voices, supporting their empowerment, and addressing the challenges they face will help can build a brighter future for girls and for generations to come.

Okafor also believe that by standing with girls and supporting their development, we can build a brighter future for all. Let’s commit to creating opportunities for girls to grow, learn, and lead, which can make a difference and ensure that every girl has the chance to reach her full potential.
On this International Day of the Girl Child, let’s join forces to empower girls and create a world where they can rise without limits.
