It is no longer news that the member representing Umuahia South State Constituency,Hon Jerry Uzosike is a Capacity-building Activist whose aim is to develop and strengthen the skills, in
stincts, abilities, processes and resources that organizations and communities need to survive, adapt, and thrive in the fast-changing world.
Hon. Uzosike is determined at seeing democracy get to his constituents especially the indigent people.
Recall that Hon. Jerry Uzosike embarked on building projects few months ago for his constituents including a Health center with provisions of borehole and other facilities, a 3 bedroom bungalow for a window,Mrs Oluchi Uzoma in addition to provision of empowerment equipments for his constituents.
The PDP Guber Candidate Prof Ikonne while commissioning the health facilities with the 4 bedroom bungalow thanked the grand commander of Ogechi cares organizations and appreciated the people of Umuahia South.
Ikonne while asuring the people of more dividends of democracy, stressed the need for all to support PDP to sustain the developmental projects in the area.
Interacting with newsmen after the commissioning of the facilities, Hon Uzosike stated that the commissioning of various projects was in commomeration of his three years anniversary in office.
He thanked the State Governor Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu for his unalloyed support to the members of the Abia State House of Assembly.
He commented the speaker,Chief Chinedum Orhi for maintaining a cordial relationship with members of the 7th House if Assembly.
According to Hon Uzosike, his decision to embark on various philanthropic ventures for his people is informed by hardwork and sacrifice which he learnt from his Father.
Uzosike who regretted that his greatest challenge is finance, assured his people that he would continue to serve them even better.
The Lawmaker expressed optimism that the People’s Democratic Party will emerge victorious in the forthcoming general elections based on the track record of their members in various positions of authority.
Earlier, the Senatorial Candidate for Abia Central Senatorial Zone, Col. Akobundu described Hon. Uzosike as a clear template for leadership recruitment, saying that they are very proud of him and expressed joy that the victory of PDP is assured based on the works already done by Hon. Uzosike.
He equally added that with the expected success of Prof. Ikonne, Hon. Jerry Uzosike and himself value would be added to the lives of the Umuahia South people and Abians at large.
The Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem, the Chairman, Umuahia South PDP caucus, Pastor Emeka Inyama, Dr. Max Ndukwe Adindu,and the President General of the community, Mazi Uzosike Uzochukwu among others said the Umuahia South remains PDP LGA and would remain united, assuring the hopeful candidates of their 100 percent votes.
Highlights of the programme includes the conferment of Chieftaincy title to PDP candidate and Abia Central Senatorial Candidate Col. Austin Akobundu respectively with Nwanne di na mba 1 of Ngodo and Ochiagha ukwu 1 of Ngodo kingdom by His Royal Highness, Eze Stephen Ihuoma, the Obinugwu 1 of Ngodo Autonomous community, presentation of freezers to 17 members of Ogechi care organisation, sewing machine, wrappers to the group and display of cultural dance by different groups and presence of many pro groups.
