The Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development Mr Nwaobilor Ananaba has commended the Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti on his Landmark Achievements In all sectors of the state economy during g this past fourteenth (14) months in office.
Sir Nwaobilor who made the Commendation when the management of Abia Angels Football Club of Aba, paid a courtesy visit to him in his Office, at School Road Secretariat Umuahia, stated that aside the numerous achievements by the Government in the Sports sector, Governor Otti has performed creditablly in Youth Empowerment, Road reconstruction and rehabilitation amongst other achievements.
According to the release made avaliable by the ministry’s PRO Elizabeth Onyeali to Nuelsnews.com noted that Sir Nwadinma, appreciated the Governor for sustaining the Four Football Clubs in the State while acknowledging satisfaction on their performance hoping the will do best in the next season.
The Commissioner, expressed gratitude to the Management of Abia Angels Football Club of Aba for hiring Adanna N. Nnah, a tested Local and National Coach as their Technical Adviser.
He said the New Technical Adviser by her wealth of experience will take Abia Angels football Club of Aba to an enviable height while assuring the Management Team of the club that the Ministry will give them the necessary Support to enable them excel.
In his contribution, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Chief Cyril Chibuike Nwaigwe, PhD, gave Kudos! to the Abia Angels football Club of Aba for their regards for the Ministry and advised them to strive to make the Governor, the State and the Ministry proud.
Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of Abia Angels football Club of Aba, Mr Nwosu Joseph Johnson, had told the Commissioner that they came to Unveil the New Technical Adviser of Abia Angels football Club of Aba, Coach Adanna N. Nnah, to the Ministry, which has one year contract with the Team, which is renewable.
According to Mr Nwosu, the New Technical Adviser, until her Coming to the Abia Angels football Club Aba was the National Team Coach of the Female under seventeen 17 (the FALCONS) The Leader informed the Commissioner that the new Technical Adviser led the under seventeen (17) National Team (the FALCONS ) to qualify for the Female Football World Cup coming up in Dominican Republic slated for 16th October to 3rd November, 2024.
He expressed optimism that based on the experience of Coach Adanna, that the team will be transformed, appreciating God for giving the Governor, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, the wisdom in appointing the Commissioner, Sir Nwaobilo Nwadinma Ananaba, whom he described as “A Seasoned Sports Administrator” as the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development.
In her remarks, the new Technical Adviser, Coach Adanna N. Nnah, appreciated the Governor Dr Alex Otti, the Wife of the Governor Mrs Priscilla Chidinma Otti who is the patron of the Team , the Commissioner Sir Ananaba and the Management of Abia Angels football Club of Aba , for the confidence reposed on her for the job and promised not to disappoint.In a vote of thanks , Mr David Silver, described the Commissioner as “A high flier” and thanked him for receiving them.
The Event featured the Official Unveiling of the New Technical Adviser Coach Adanna N. Nnah and A Special Sports Jessy with the inscription “N. NNAH” which was handed over to the Commissioner, Sir Ananaba, according to the Chairman of the Team, The Management of the Ministry were all present during the visit
