The Abia State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Usman Ishaq Alfadarai fdc, MFR, yesterday received some advocates from SANAB Development Foundation, to the State Command’s Headquarters in Umuahia.
The visit which was focused on familiarization and exploring ways to collaborate to tackle the issues of Gender Based Violence and human right abuse, emphasized the critical role the Corps plays in promoting human rights
Ambassador Delphine Chioma, while addressing the State Commandant, noted the necessity of including the Corps in this cause to ensure that Gender Based Violence and human rights abuse are combated.
Responding, The State Commandant expressed his appreciation for the visit and reiterated the NSCDC’s commitment to fighting all forms of human rights abuses. He said the partnership is a welcome development as the Corps prides itself as a foremost security organization with gender inclusivity and sensitivity.
He further emphasized the importance of such organizations coming together to eradicate all forms of inhumane treatments and practices in the state.
According to the release which was signed by the command’s PRO Doreen Udugwu, noted that the Commandant was accompanied by some members of his management team during the meeting.
