Form Formidable Alliance with ABSG Abia Information Boss Urges OMPA
Abia State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Bar. Eze Chikamnayo has urged the Abia Online Media Practitioners, an umbrella body of OMPAN not to be retrogressive in their activities but through their functions, form formidable alliance with the State Government.
Speaking with the new executive of OMPAN Abia State chapter on Thursday in his office during a courtesy visit, Bar. Chikamnayo also reminded them that a thorough bred Journalists is a catalyst and a facilitator.
The Public Relations Officer of the Association Loveday Chidi, quoted Chikamnayo as having implored members of OMPAN to make professionalism and development Journalism their core objective, encouraged OMPAN to aim at becoming partners in progress with the government and other development agencies.
He also advised OMPAN to focus on growth, development and on what will build the society and guarantee greater dividends.
Earlier in his speech, the new Chairman of Abia OMPAN, Comrade Paddy Anyanwu said that their role as watchdog in the society will never be compromised even as the body put more effort to partner the government to ensure things work properly in the society.
