A crowd of protesters mainly youths in Abia State has joined millions of people in Nigeria to march against the brutality of Nigerian police force and endless SARS killing that prompted reactions that led to a nationwide protest.
One of the protesters while speaking with correspondent pointed out that the essence of the protest is to ensure that SARS brutality and killings in Nigeria is stopped or totally eradicated.
He opined that the police force should be given re-orientation on how to perform their duties and that security in Nigeria should be adequately funded as observed in other countries.
He also stated that the protest is to advocate for better governance, adding that Political seats should be made less juicy in order to attract people that are willing to work for the development of the nation, stating that we need total reformation in every sector in Nigeria such as the leadership, electricity, health,security and cost of living among others.
He proposed that generations below 50 years of age should be given opportunity to govern Nigeria as the generations above 60yrs have failed the country.
Some major roads in umuahia were blocked as the protest continued till late in the evening.
