…sues For Prayers Amid COVID-19 Scourge

The President Vision Africa International, Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has felicitated with Muslim faithful all over the world on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, the Islamic Festival of sacrifice.

In a congratulatory message he personally endorsed, the Methodist Bishop, appreciated God for granting the Muslim community sound health to witness another Eid-el-Kabir, adding that it can only be God at work.

The Co-Chair Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, enjoined Muslim faithful all over the world to use the occasion to pray for God’s healing amid the Coronavirus pandemic that has devastated economies and thrown world powers into confusion as they battle to find a permanent solution.

He said the threat posed by the Coronavirus is terrifying, pointing out that as it spreads, it is pertinent for the Muslim community to use this occasion to pray for a stop to community transmission of the virus which is very active in the country.

Bishop Onuoha, particularly admonished Muslims in Nigeria to also use the period to sue for peace with citizens of other religions and faith, preach kindness, love, advising that they also use the opportunity to pray for God to touch the hearts of those unleashing terror on Nigerians through banditry, insurgency, kidnapping among other vices threatening the existence of Nigeria.

The Methodist Bishop and the Global Peace Award Winner 2013, charged the Muslim faithful to also intercede for those occupying political positions in the country, stressing that they deserve intercessory prayers especially now that they seem bereft of ideas to navigate the country out of her daunting challenges.
