The Diamond Football Academy on Wednesday,defeated Akwa United 1-0 in a Friendly Match at the Ekot Ekpene Stadium of Akwa Ibom State.
The Coach of the Club,Mr Christopher Louis Inam expressed excitement at the level of progress in the team,while he maintain that his players are making the Academy proud by playing according to instructions and also the way they adapt in matches .
He lauded the goal scorer Francis Nweke for making them win the match and hope to give the players more high profile matche in order to bring out the best in them.
The Technical Adviser, Mr. Harrison Mecha of the Old Rangers and the Green Eagle of Nigeria, also praised the Diamond Players ,saying that he is very optimistic that the players will not let them down in the match.
Again, the Akwa United Technical Adviser Mr. John Obuh an experienced coach of Nigeria under 17 and under 20 Team did not fail to express satisfaction to the Diamond Players after the game.
Obuh lauded the winning team on the level of comportment and straight during the match.
