COVID-19: There is Hunger Virus, Bishop Onuoha Tells the Wealthy, Govt

The President, Vision Africa International and Co-Chair, Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has urged the wealthy to care for the poor and vulnerable as COVID-19 pandemic continues to bite harder on the economy.

Bishop Onuoha who spoke on Sunday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, at the ongoing Interfaith Consultation, said what is needed at this point is hunger antidote, which requires that the wealthy reach out to the vulnerable in the society for the purpose of making sure that hunger does not kill them before a lasting solution on how the dreaded virus would be kicked out of the country is found.

The Global Peace Award Winner, 2013, said it is not right for the wealthy to continuously neglect the poor who need every assistance this pandemic period, stressing that until they realize they need to assist and provide succor to the poor, they are wasting their time.
