The President, Vision Africa International and Co-Chair Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, Bishop, Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has expressed joy over the recovery of the Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu from COVID-19.

Reacting to the news of the recovery and return of Governor Ikpeazu to duty on Wednesday, the Methodist Bishop thanked God for His healing hand which he stretched forth on the number one citizen of Abia State, adding that it can only be God who used Doctors to bring the Governor back to life.

Appreciating medical experts in Nigeria whom God used to nurse Governor Ikpeazu back to life, the Executive Director, Nigeria Interfaith Action Association (NIFAA), pointed out that he has never doubted the professionalism and expertise displayed by medical Doctors in Nigeria especially in handling similar cases like the COVID-19.

The Global Peace Award Winner 2013, also lauded the efforts of the Deputy Governor of the State, Sir Udo Oko Chukwu for piloting the affairs of the state while his boss was away just as he hailed members of the Abia State Executive Council for their dedication and commitment during the governor’s indisposition.

Bishop, Dr. Onuoha, used the medium to urge Abians to continue to adhere strictly to government’s guidelines on COVID-19, pointing out that the Virus is real as there are many testifiers to this while stating that contraction of the Virus does not mean death sentence as the case of the governor has proved that carriers of the Virus can be nursed back to life if they report early, any symptom of the disease to the appropriate quarters.
