The Abia State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations on Friday,paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary, Secondary Education Management Board Umuahia ,sir Lawrence Ogbonnaya and the Project Coordinator of NEWMAP.
The visit which commenced shortly after the official handover Ceremony of the Director General of the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State, Mr Anyaso Anyaso by his predesessor,Mr Uchenna Dike.
Anyaso Anyaso who is also the chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations made his first official visit to the aforementioned agencies .
He expressed gratitude to God ,while Thanking the Organisation for the warmth reception to him and his colleagues within a short notice.
During his presentation ,the new BCA DG described the Executive Secretary SEMB sir Lawrence Ogbonnay as a man who has combined to etch his name in Gold through well crafted policies and programmes that have direct positive bearing on the growth of Secondary Education in the State since his assumption of office.
He further expressed excitment at the performance of pupils in both Local and National Examinations, adding that Abia State have continued to take lead in the country in WAEC, NECO and also in JAMB examinations.
Anyaso noted that sanity has been restored in the Education sector in Abia State following incredible performance of students.
Responding, sir Lawrence lauded Mr Anyaso and Members of the great institute for identifying with him and however count himself lucky of being among the first that the new DG is officially visiting.
He used the medium to urge all members of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations to be proactive like his PRO Mrs Ruth Afari whom he addressed as being very articulate, very Intelligent and also very efficient in her duties.
He stated that the Organisation is an exceptional outfit that needs to be proactive in operation,assuring them support from the institute,especially in the forthcoming retreat.
In the same vain, Anyaso also congratulated the Project Coordinator, NEWMAP Abia State Engr. Izuchukwu Onwughara on his recent Academic attainment and the way he has been piloting the affairs of the Organisation
He emphasised that the Project executed by NEWMAP are quite Impactful and evenly spread.
The Director general also enumerated how the Organisation has restored the hope and people’s confidence in governance, stating that it is the testimony of the Gov. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu led administration’s avowed commitment to leave Abia better than he met it.
He urged the coordinator of NEWMAP to continue to extend his services to erosion prone areas like: Uturu in Isuikwuato, Lohum in Bende LGA, some parts of Ohafia LGA and others.
The Chairman’s visit witnessed official presentation of the new exco of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations to the Project Coordinator of NEWMAP for support ,while he prayed that God will provide the capacity and enablement to perform creditable.
Also in his word, the Project Coordinator NEWMAP, Engr. Onwughara congratulated the Chairman for his new appointment and thanked him also for obliging him the privilege of receiving the new DG in his office and Members of the Institute,
Onwughara also stated that the 20th NIPR Master Class was the best in the history of NIPR ,saying that he is proud to be among the Masters Student of 2019.
He also, thanked the Institute for coming to their office which he addressed NEWMAP as the best performing in Africa and Also the best Nigeria.
he however, promised their unalloyed support during the retreat and when called upon .
