PRESS RELEASE
Despite the ravaging effects of the Coronavirus COVID-19 Pandemic, which shocked the world, closed down businesses, led to job losses, and brought economies of developed countries to their knees, many still play with their lives as they move about freely, unprotected.
As the World continues to heal from the COVID-19 Pandemic, there is every need for individuals of different races, countries especially in places where people live in clusters like Nigeria, Abia state, and indeed, Aba to take adequate and protective measures against a contraction of the dreaded COVID-19.
In the light of the above, the President, Vision Africa and Co-Chair Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, Bishop, Dr. Sunday Onuoha, has called on people living in cities like Aba, Onitsha, Kano, Lagos among others to protect themselves from contracting Coronavirus.
Bishop, Dr. Onuoha the Executive Director, Nigeria Inter-faith Action Association (NIFAA), who stated this in a Press Statement issued to newsmen on Sunday, said as businesses are gradually coming up, there is every need for traders and other individuals to protect themselves to avoid regrets as the Coronavirus is not written on faces just as he posed the question… Whom Are You Wary Of?. (Ama Ndi An’eze?).
The Methodist Bishop reminded people that since guidelines on how to stay safe amid Coronavirus has been constantly repeated, it is time for them to take full responsibility by protecting themselves especially as the Federal and State governments have eased some stringent measures put up ab initio to contain the spread as well as protect the citizenry.
He advised those living in self-denial to rise up and avail themselves of all they need to protect themselves and their families, adding that ignorance should not be a defense for inability to protect oneself.
