Sarafina N. Nwokenta is the current Chief Operating Officer at Vision Africa; and
doubles as the Internal Auditor for Vision Africa Radio 104.1FM, Umuahia Abia State.
She is a qualified attorney with over 17 years of post-call legal experience. She works on a
a broad range of activities such as organisational management, Human Resource
development, partner capacity strengthening, law reforms and Advocacy, Human Rights,
gender-related issues, maternal and adolescent health.
Member of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), AWID International,
and the Springboard women’s network, UK/Nigeria.
Sarafina is a Public Health and Community Development practitioner with over 16 years
of professional experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health programming, Public Policy
and advocacy. She has skills and experience relevant to reform initiatives in Women’s
Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights.
She has strong organisational and leadership experience in program management,
behaviour change communication, capacity building, training, community engagement
and mobilization, with a focus on youths and women in marginalized communities.
Efficient in the application of Human Rights-Based approaches in Reproductive Health
and SBCC programming. Adept at strategic planning, administration and management of
public health programs, particularly reproductive and adolescent health.
