The Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly Rt.Hon Chinedum Orji has Urged Mothers to rekindled respect for their husbands while advising the men to show love to their wives.
The Speaker who stated this during the occasion of the 2021 mothering Sunday held at All Saints Anglican Church, World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia advised mothers to pray against the failure of marriages which is on the increase in recent times.
He said that the level of divorce cases witnessed amongst young married people is very alarming, adding that mother’s have a great role to play in ensuring their Daughters are raised with the fear of the Lord and other attributes that makes marriages complete.
According to the speaker who was ably represented by Hon. Jerry Uzosike member representing Umuahia South State Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Public Account and Anti- Corruption Challenged the men to show love to their wives and Children, adding that in the past years marriages last long up to old ages but the reverse is the case now.
He therefore, called on all the mothers to show respect to their husbands stating that it will encourage their Husbands to love them in return, thereby creating the enabling environment for Peace in their homes for marriage sustainability.
