The Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, on Saturday condoled with Hon. Prince Martin Ikechukwu Apugo over the death of his mother, Late Mrs Dorathy Apugo.
Speaking at the residence of Hon. Martins Apugo on Saturday, the Speaker urged the former General Manager of the Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) to take heart adding that “What has happened is death, there is no enmity in death”,
“I am here to pay my condolences; you are the first son of the Apugo’s.
The Speaker again, described his mother as a peaceful woman whose role in several issues and guidance are well known to him
“Politics or no politics, whatever that will bring problem can be sorted out at a roundtable, irrespective of Party; you are my brother.
“I have come to condole with you, my brother,” the Speaker informed while promising to actively participate in the burial activities.
“I will like to participate in the burial and avail the necessary support to ensure that your mother is given a befitting burial,”
The Speaker further, prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Responding, Hon.Prince Martin Apugo thanked the Rt.Hon. Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly for identifying with him, and paying him a Condolence visit.
The Speaker was accompanied on the visit by the Lawmaker representing Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Solomon Adaelu and the former Chairman of Osisioma Local Government Area, Hon. Mgbeahuru Iheyinna.
