The Abia State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Ugboaja Theophilus Odionyenfe has been conferred with the distinguished award of Integrity Stewardship Service Ambassador’ by the Centre for Peace and Value Reorientation, an NGO working against corrupt practices and recreating global society through motivation to service.
In his speech shortly before presenting the award to the Housing Commissioner in his office at the Abia State Civil Service Secretariat, Umuahia, the Executive Director, Centre for Peace and Value Reorientation, Comrade Oyibo. A. Abraham revealed that their confidential independent assessment exercise conducted on the State Ministries, South-East geo-political zone, Ministry of Housing, under the stewardship of Hon. Ugboaja, came out very outstanding in their assessment.
Oyibo said, the performances of the Housing Commissioner such as display of ethical leadership, development policy, public accessibility, Servicom compliance and commitment to the state government transformation agenda, being satisfied with all assessment and opinion polls, made him outstanding.
In his speech while accepting the award, the Abia State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Ugboaja Theophilus Odionyenfe, thanked the non-governmental organization for finding him worthy to bestow on him the prestigious award.
He, however, attributed the honour to the governor, for his administrative policy, and also promised to be more patriotic and dedicated in line with the governor’s strives towards the rapid development of the state.
In a brief remark, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Comrade Chris Okpara described the Commissioner as an outstanding performer and commended the organization for the honour given to Hon. Ugboaja.
All the principal Officers of the Housing Ministry were present during the event.
