Mr Stanley Nwabuisi member representing Ikwuano state constituency has expressed concerns on the current state of the Umuahia/Ikot Ekpene road which he called the State Government to Aid them in repairing the road.
Nwabuisi made the call through a matter of urgent public importance raised at the floor of the house.
He stated how terrible the road has gone and noted the intervention the national Assembly member Hon. Sam Onuigbo has made by getting the road awarded to a contractor which he said will be taking off from Umuahia to Oboro
Nwabuisi, also lamented that the road has led to the death of a pregnant woman and her unborn child, explaining that there is no road from Ikwuano to Awka Ibom because the road has been Cut off completely making his constituents no longer have access to the town.
The Matter was otherwise support by member representing Obingwa East State Constituency and Leader of the house, Hon. Solomon Akpulonu advised that the house to Urge ABROMA to do a palliative work on the road.
The house priseded by rge speaker Mr. Chinedum Orji resolve to urge the state government through ABROMA to fix the bad areas.
Again, that the Federal legislators to add more pressure to ensure that work starts on most federal roads across the state.
