It was all shades of emotions, feelings and thoughts on Saturday with friends, family’s and customers across Glasgow as the famous Baby Grand Piano and Bars winds-up its restaurants after 40 years of its existence.
For 40 years, this beloved restaurant has been a staple in the community. A place where families gathered, friends reunited, and memories were made.

But today, the restaurant is saying goodbye, the doors are closing for the final time, perhaps for this location marking the end of an era.
For the owners, staff, and loyal customers, this is more than just a business, it’s a family.

The owner Billy McAneney speaking to the audience said “We’ve seen generations grow up, couples get engaged, and families celebrate milestones. It’s hard to let go, but we’re grateful for the memories.”

McAneney added, “Will The Baby Grand move to a new site? After 40 years and 3 months!Almost certainly not, but never say never. Regardless, we are going to go out with a bang.”
As the restaurant closes this chapter, they will remember the laughter, the tears, and the countless moments that made this restaurant a home away from home.

May the memories shared at Baby Grands restaurants and bars linger, and the legacy live on.
