The Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abia State, Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has congratulated
the Founder and Chairman of Roots Television Nigeria, Dumebi Kachikwu for emerging winner of the party’s presidential primary.
He polled a total of 977 votes to defeat his closest rivals, Kingsley Moghalu who polled a total of 589 votes while Chukwuka Monye secured 399 votes.
Kachikwu emerged the Presidential flag bearer of the party on Wednesday at the party’s primaries held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
No fewer than 10 aspirants jostled for the votes of 2,100 delegates.
Reacting to Kachikwu’s victory, Bishop Dr. Onuoha, congratulated the Presidential flag bearer who according him, is a square peg in the right hole, noting that his years of experience in administration, makes him a candidate to beat come 2023 general election.
The founder, Vision Africa International and Co-chair Interfaith Dialogue forum for Peace who led Abia Delegates to the Convention, said the party has produced someone who understands the dynamics of Nigeria, expressing optimism that he will pacify Nigeria and reposition the battered economy if elected President.
The cleric lauded the leadership of the party for conducting a free, fair and credible primary election just as he commended the Delegates for the mature way they comported themselves in making their choices.
